Yesssss! This was fantastic. Feels very timely but also timeless. Well done brining the potential horror of AI to a real and personal level! Bravo!

Thanks so much, Nick! I'm glad it was scary to someone else other than me. Horror can be difficult that way.

I have a few things that really creep me out- stuff about eyes and technology going haywire are two that are way up top of that list. So, your story has just capped off my terrified reading of all these eye stories. So creepy.

“Moxi requires an update” went from joke to incantation before I even realized the shift. The dread crept in like a firmware patch we forgot we agreed to. Also, Pluto is still a planet in my heart. But I’m starting to think Moxi would disagree just to watch us unravel.

I look forward to your reviews so much even though they're sometimes better written than the original piece haha.

I'm gonna frame this one. Thank you!

That means a lot coming from you. I’m just chasing the echoes your stories leave behind.

No way. I was saying to myself "I want to be just like Offscreenshaman" when I grow up.

Thank you! Moxi is such a cute name for something so creepy. I love the every day setting with the creep slowly intruding. This was a great addition to my lunch break.

The piece certainly sings to anxiety! But in a soothing way? Horror can be fascinating.

Oh man. Yes. So much anxiety. It is based LOOSELY on recent events in our home 😬 so it definitely has a lot of my own anxiety in there.
